Confusing people decisions can drive anyone bananas! By the time clients come to see me, they've usually gone over the same set of facts a thousand times, to no avail. The purpose of a consultation is to bring new information and understanding to the situation, and to reach and implement decisions that will hold up over the long term. Ninety percent of the time, we do just that. If, during our first meeting it appears that my approach won't help you, there is no charge for the session.
Clients may have a people problem in their personal or their business life. Perhaps they can't decide whether to enter into a relationship, stay in one, or break it off. Maybe they can't decide whether to take a job, or learn about the people evaluating them, so as to put their best foot forward. If they're already in a position, they may need to understand whether to hire, fire, or partner with someone. If this is the kind of people problem that’s been plaguing you, chances are I can help
Together we'll apply my SR (Smart Relationship) Toolkit, so you can make the best decision. Everyone works with me directly. I do NOT run a large organization. Consultations usually involve just the two of us. However, as necessary (and only rarely) I may consult specialists in various sub-fields. Depending on the issue, I may ask clients if they'd like to fill in a few simple forms on the computer, to orient both of us.
Whatever your personal or business relationship difficulties, take heart! Great people decisions can be made and put into practice, with the necessary information and understanding of the players involved.

In-Person Meetings |

For people in the Boston area, I offer in-person consulting at my Boston and suburban offices. Occasionally I meet with clients in New York and greater New England.
The Boston office is several blocks from Kenmore Square and Fenway Park, in the heart of Boston in a lovely 19th century townhouse.
In-person meetings are the most efficient way to work. Face to face, we can trade information and the subtleties of the situation and personalities, in the best and fastest way. Learn more |

One to Two Day Intensive Sessions |
| |
Sometimes folks from outside the Boston area prefer to come for an intensive day or two’s work on their problem. They may integrate our work into the course of business trips or vacations, for example. Learn more

Sessions by Phone and Email |
| |
I've worked fairly often with people I have not physically met. In one case I helped evaluate a potential bride in a country ten thousand miles away; in another I helped understand a difficult adolescent on another continent. I've worked entirely by some combination of phone, postal mail, photographs, video, and the internet. While not optimal (usually it's a plus to physically meet), it can be effective with the right client and the right problem. That is, the client needs to be reasonably articulate about the problem, and the problem needs to be one that doesn't absolutely require face-to-face contact.
